Basic Avon Selling Knowledge

I have always said, “what you put into your Avon business is what you will get out of it”.  It’s still true and I won’t stop saying it. Here is some basic Avon Selling Knowledge steps to help you.  You are an Avon Beauty Boss.  Put your plans into action and success will follow.

Basic Avon Selling Knowledge

Always submit an order: There should never be a campaign where you don’t submit an order.  You will not sustain your business if you are not at least ordering catalogs.  When I started Avon there were a few campaigns that I did not have orders from customers but I still ordered catalogs.  I would even order something for myself to try so that I can do a product review for my blog and do a video to share. I couldn’t imagine if I had just not ordered catalogs and expected to get orders.  It wouldn’t work.  No catalogs – NO ORDERS!!

Pay your bill before your next order is due: DO NOT use your Avon money to pay your personal bills until your Avon bill has been paid. Avon gives you a credit limit to start.  There is NO reason you shouldn’t be paying your Avon bill.  If you need to collect the money from customers first you should do that.

Have a separate checking account: Set up an Avon Bank account. This is where you will place ALL of your customer payments.  This is also where Avon will deposit for your online sales.  Suggestion:  Get a credit card that pays you back on your purchases.  I have one that is ONLY for my Avon business.  I use it to pay my Avon bill as well as any purchases for my Avon business such as business cards, events etc. I then use the money in my Avon bank account to pay it off every month.  I NEVER make the minimum payment.  Another option is the Avon Debit Card.  You can learn about it in youravon.com under My Account.

Get back on track! If you are struggling, contact me – I will help you get back on track.  Don’t JUST QUIT owing Avon!!

Set up square to accept credit cards: Setting up a square account is FREE.  You will get an app for your phone so you can ALWAYS be ready for credit card transactions.  Imagine being able to take a deposit for an order over the phone or drop off an order that has already been paid for.  Get your Square account set up now.

Don’t have internet? If you have a phone or an iPad you can access youravon.com account as well as your eStore or you can go to the library or family member to do your orders.

Avon training: Be sure to do your Avon U Training if you haven’t done it yet.

Respond to up-line communications: You and your business are important to me. I chose to start team building to share knowledge I have gained and to help you grow your business.  If I don’t get response from texts, e-mail or facebook group posts; I can only assume that you are not interested in any help.  It is important for you to express your opinion, share your ideas.  Everyone has something they can offer.  Please share your helpful advice on the facebook group.

Customer Communication: It is important that you communicate with your customers.  If a customer or your up-line calls or texts you; get back to them right away.  This is proper business practices in any business and just common courtesy.

Commitments: Life can take a turn at times and schedules can change. Be sure to let your customers or your team known of any changes to commitments or schedules that would be important to them.

Be confident: Be confident in yourself and your business. Avon has given you all of the tools you need to have a successful Avon business.  You can do it!!

The leader in you: Be the leader in your Avon business. Don’t expect others to do the work for you.  Don’t wait for your up-line to make suggestions on how to grow your business and what you should do.  Do a party, tailgate, try a facebook party, start a youtube channel.  Don’t wait – Just do it!!

Get inspired: Don’t be discouraged and DON’T QUIT!!. If I had quit my first year when I struggled the most; I would not have made President’s Club and I would not have online sales every week and I would not have received all of the recognition and awards that I have.  Do what it takes to get motivated.  Read motivational materials, watch youtube videos of what other reps are doing,  stay connected in the facebook group, attend bootcamps and webinars.  Do the power of 5, organize your work space, create goals and stick to them, create a dream board.  So Something!!  Doing nothing will keep you in the same place.

Time management: We all had lives before we started Avon. Commitments that will take priority over our Avon business and that’s okay.  Just remember to be prepared even within those commitments to share the opportunity and give out catalogs.  Avon is just an extension of who you are.  Be confident in your Avon business, smile and share wherever you are.

Stay focused: Remember your why. Why did you start Avon?  It only cost $25 to start.  I don’t know of any other DM business that only costs $25 to start and get what we get as Avon representatives.  Imagine if you decided to start a store front business and what it would cost.  Imagine the cost, the time, the dedication.  You should be as dedicated to your Avon business as you would be with a store front business.  Stay focused!!  See the bigger picture.  This is not a get rich quick scheme.  It is WORK and after all that is what you signed up for.  RIGHT??

Be yourself, have fun with your business and you will be successful.
