I love my Avon Business.  Espcially over the Holiday season.  My customers increase by at least 20% and that means sales and new customers.  There are so many items for my customers.  I am not just selling them one item; I am  selling them multiple items and gifts.  EXCITING!!

Selling Avon during Christmas is a great way to get your Avon business started on the right foot or give your  business a boost.  Selling Avon during Christmas is also a great time to get your own gifts for family and friends while getting a discount and earning.

Steps to Selling Avon During Christmas:

  • Harness the internet – Get your business working for you online.  Your eStore is open 24/7 throughout each campaign.  Use social platforms to draw attention to your eStore.  Avon has a great social media platform you can use in your back office or you can choose what you want to advertise on those social media platforms.  I like to use Buffer so that I can post on all of them at one time and schedule them as well.  Start a facebook business page and invite your customers to join.
  • Canvas your neighborhood –  You can canvas your neighborhood and town with Avon Catalogs.  Go to businesses with catalogs and special offers to get them to shop with you.  Be sure to label your brochure with your name, phone# and eStore in case they prefer to shop online.  Use code: welcome10 on your labels.  This gives them 10% off their order of any size.  One time use.
    • Put order forms inside your catalogs.  They are free for you; so why not use them.  If you go to an office building; you could leave multiple forms and tell the office that you will come by in a few days to pick up their orders. That way they won’t need to call.
    • Get your customers to get a friend to order.  They both get 10% off their order and if their order is over $35; you could offer a gift with their order.  Use the outlet catalog to purchase something for each of them.  Stand out from other reps.  Let them feel special.
    • Seasonal customers – there are those who only like to shop Avon during the Holidays; so be sure to return to those who have shopped during the Holidays with you in the past.
  • Events –  Wherever there is an event in your area; participate.  Bazaars are a great way to gain customers.  I like to have products on hand for them to purchase.  With your What’s new catalog (only for Avon representatives) you can order Christmas products in advance.  I like to order stocking stuffer type items.  I also make gift baskets and bundles.  I usually sell between $300 to $500 at events like these; depending on if the event is a good one.
    • Host your own event – Find a venue to host an event and invite other vendors to participate.  I would recommend not charging too much only because we all know that everyone needs to make money at these events.  When I host an event I charge the minimum.  I don’t ever charge to earn anything.  I only want a place where I can share Avon and help my fellow vendors.
  • Party time –  Host a party in your home with food, drinks and Christmas music.  Have a prize drawing and incentives for those who bring a guest that is not a customer.  Be creative with your displays.  Have lots of catalogs on hand and be ready to place orders that night.
    • Ask your friends/customers if they would like to schedule an Avon Holiday party.  Offer a hostess gift, prizes for their friends and a discount for the hostesses own order.  I like to take 10% of the orders and apply it towards the hostesse order or offer them that amount in FREE product.  $200 from the party is $20 in free product for the hostess.  I also give the hostess 30% off her own order. Because I am President’s Club and earn 40% on all of my sales; I can afford to give the hostess the 30%.

Get organized

Plan your selling season early.  Start as early as September to start planning.  Schedule your parties, look for vendor events, make gift baskets.  Think about the customers you have; how many catalogs you will need for current customers and plan on how many catalogs you feel you will be able to distribute and where. NOTE: You can start Avon any time during the Holiday Season and earn.  I started selling Avon in November and had great sales during the Holiday season.

Presentation is everything

Present your catalogs in a canvassing bag you can get from your sales tools in your back office and place your catalogs inside with a sample and maybe even a candy cane or a warm drink packet; like, tea, hot cocoa or hot apple cider.  Maybe tie a bow at the top.

I placed this on a door of one of my customer and she tagged me on facebook saying how much she appreciated the special touch.  As you can see; this is close to Thanksgiving time.  I created a flier that gives a discount offer as well as a gift for sharing with a friend.
