Hello, my name is Monica Brown and I am happily married to my husband of 30 years, am currently a mom of 4 beautiful girls; two of which are grown and two still at home, and a grandmother of nine beautiful grandchildren.
I started my Avon journey back in 2014 when my husband and I were laid off, yet again from retail merchandising.
Every holiday the store blacks out dates that retail merchandisers can’t be in the store. Unfortunately, those dates are from Thanksgiving until January 3rd. That’s a long time without a full pay check; especially over the holidays.
I did a lot of searching online for a company I could work from home. Tried a couple, but ended up disappointed. Long story!! After disappointment, discouragement and a lot of searching; Avon came to mind. I remembered my mom selling it as a kid and I could still remember the smells of the perfume and the lotions my mom used. I liked the product and started researching more about it. After a lot of time spent researching the cost, if there were sales quotas, etc; I decided it was the right fit for me.
I went to the site and signed up. It was affordable and I figured if it didn’t work out; it was such a small investment that it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Since then I have received awards for #1 district e-Store sales, Sales increase, President’s Club recognition, Spirit of Avon award and incentive awards.
I am now in my fourth year as an Avon Representative and my business just keeps growing.
I love my Avon customers and their support. Because they are showing their support by shopping with me; I do my best to offer great customer service to them by providing samples when they ask for them as well as catalogs. I also like to give birthday cards and Holiday cards to my long time customers. I also offer gifts with purchases and have giveaways.
I also love my growing team. I waited to start an Avon team because I wanted to learn how to sell before I showed others to do the same.
Now that I know the product and know what it takes to sell Avon I am putting more time into it and wanting to share how I am reaching my goals and helping others reach theirs.
